GEAR UP is a seven-year program of the United States Department of Education designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.
Region One Education Service Center (ESC) and partners provide services at middle and high schools for a cohort of students beginning no later than the seventh grade and follow the cohort through high school. GEAR UP funds are also used to provide college scholarships to low-income students.
GEAR UP students and parents/families in the Region One ESC area receive the following types of services:

* STEM/Computer Science Workshops |
* Parent/Family Engagement Workshops |
* TSI/SAT/ACT Testing Support |
