Director of PEIMS & Student Attendance

Mrs. Irma Guerra presently serves as the District Director of PEIMS & Student Attendance.  Mrs. Guerra graduated from Zapata High School in 1991 and is married to Clyde Guerra, Jr.  She has three children, Clyde III, Idalinda, and Caleb.  Mrs. Guerra attended Texas A&M International University where she received her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in 1996. She later received her Master of Education in Educational Technlology from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2005.  Mrs. Guerra also holds several certificates, Office Education, ILP3, and Texas T-TESS. She was a Business Education teacher (CTE) for 10 yrs.  In 2006 she became the high school TEKS/TAKS/STAAR Mentor where she served in that role for 15 years. Mrs. Guerra has been part of state assessments for many years (TAKS, STAAR, TELPAS, and ACT). She has also assisted with many other roles as a high school administrator.
 
Mrs. Guerra is passionate in working with our Zapata County Independent School District family. She is a true  believer of ZCISD District’s Vision:  “COMMITTED TO INSPIRE AND DEVELOP LEARNERS TO BECOME THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW” and the Mission: “PROVIDE LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO ENSURE A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE FOR ALL”...Mrs. Guerra believes that the core values of having High Expectations, Respect, Relationships, and Unity are a great key in leading Zapata County ISD to a better tomorrow..
