Do The Write Thing National Violence prevention essay campaigned together with Communities In School. Zapata Middle School had two finalists, Jose Daniel Cavazos, 7th grader and Hailey Pina, 8th grader. Congratulations to Hailey Pina for being awarded the National Ambassador. She will be representing Communities In Schools and ZCISD in Washington, DC this summer. Special recognition to ZMS Principal M. Guerra, AP Nancy Garza, Teachers Cynthia Garza and Olga Guzman and all other teachers and students who participated in making this a great event. CIS Coordinator Norma Mireles.

Summer Meals Program-Healthy Summer Meals Make a Difference!

Zapata County ISD Summer Seamless Program Begins June 5, 2023
Zapata County ISD's Annual Summer Feeding Program will serve free, nutritious meals at all participating feeding sites to children 18 years of age and under this summer.
Meals will be provided at 9 different sites Monday-Friday, in combination of school campuses and community sites.

Superintendent's Student Advisory Banquet

Dr. Bobbie Trevino celebrated the Superintendent's Student Advisory with a banquet dinner on May 11, 2023, to honor the students for their outstanding work advising the Superintendent throughout the year!
Thank you to Mr. Ricky Ramirez and IBC for hosting the group at the IBC Zapata Branch and sponsoring the delicious BBQ dinner!
