On Friday, April 21, 2023, Zapata High School held a groundbreaking ceremony of the
"Living Legacy" project. The Living Legacy Project allows students the opportunity to leave a lasting benefaction on both their school and community. This project aims to recognize the dedication of ZHS students and honor them for years to come.
Special thanks to Krystal Cantu, a Class of 2022 Zapata High School Graduate, who spearheaded this project. Krystal, together with generous donors, purchased 22 16’ live oak trees and had them planted on the grounds of Zapata High School. #HawkPride #livinglegacyProject

ZCISD Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Meeting was held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 1:30PM to 3:00PM at the ZTAC on Hwy. 83.

La reunión de participación de la familia y la comunidad (FACE) de ZCISD se llevó a cabo el miércoles, 12 de abril de 2023 de 1:30PM a 3:00PM en el ZTAC en la autopista 83.

The Hawk Golf Team competed at the 4A Region IV Golf Tournament on April 19 & 20. The Hawk team placed 6th out of 16 teams, missing State qualifying by 11 strokes. The team consists of Rudy Martinez, Chris Granger, Caleb Guerra, Rene Munoz, and Javy Lopez. Head Coach Dago Hinojosa and Asst. Victor Garza.
Caleb Guerra qualified to the UIL State 4A Golf Tournament as a medalist. State Tournament will be held on May 22-23, 2023. Congratulations to our Hawk Golf team.

Congratulations to ZHS FFA Plant ID and Entomology teams who competed in State competition at Texas Tech University.

Zapata High School students attended the Zapata Job Fair where they were provided with important information about the workforce.
