The Board of Trustees joined Dr. Trevino in recognizing Coach Robert Alvarez for receiving being named a recipient of the 2022 Region IV 4A Sportsmanship Award by the USTA. This recognition is awarded to the students and coaches of the ZHS Tennis Program for their performance during the 2022 UIL Regional Team Tennis Tournament. “Zapata embodies the ideals and values that we love to see on the tennis court l: enthusiasm, compassion, fair-mindedness, and positivity.” stated Mr. Van Barry, Executive Director of the USTA-Texas.
